Quick update on Sublo zine

I'll be out of town for a couple of days, so I wanted to squeeze a little update out before then. Recently I've mostly been focused on putting together the Sublo and Tangy Mustard Production Notes zine, since this year will be the 10th anniversary of the show (oh god). Sorry if I already outlined this here before, but here's the info: It will be between 70-80 pages. The first half focuses on the content of the show-- how the characters have developed, how each season came together and the individual episodes developed. The second half is more production-focused, a step-by-step look at the the process from brainstorming to scripts, voice recording, thumbnails, animatic, design, animation, post, etc... There will be some never-before-shared art, and possibly comments from some of the actors too (still waiting on that part!) It's mostly just my own notes though, it's not intended as an artbook or an oral history.

I'm getting it ready to release at an event at the beginning of next month, along with some collections of animation and background line art, possibly some nice colour prints, maybe a blu-ray... All of this should be available online eventually too, although if the blu-ray happens in time for the event it might just be existing special features from youtube gathered together. The soundtrack release is also coming, but I doubt it'll be ready for this event.

The contents of the zine will overlap with a 3-part workshop I've been asked to do later this month (not open to the public as far as I know, sorry!) It's convenient that this is happening while I'm in the middle of going through my archives for the zine - I have way too much to even fit in the zine, so this'll give me an outlet for some of that extra content.

Here are a couple of spreads from the zine and one of the cover ideas... Obviously none of it is finalized, the cover is just a very rough concept. Finally, yes the next episode is still being worked on too... but the zine has taken over my attention till it's done! Ok gotta go byeee!
