Perry's been a tricky character to design, but I think I've finally locked him down. He's a eurasian lynx, meaning every year he trades out his short trim summer coat for a pale, mega fluffy winter one. Lynx fur is extraordinarily plush and warm and can fetch a pretty penny! Cold-blooded animals-reptiles especially- quite enjoy luxurious furs to keep warm in the winter months, turning the material into coats, mittens, and scarves. Sure, you can buy a faux fur coat, but quite a few citizens are willing to pay steeper prices for the real deal. Perry certainly enjoys spending his winters cozy and soft and 100% irresistible for Tibbs to snuggle.

Also, Perry is our second trans cat in the cast. Funnily enough, I have a third trans character planned who is also a feline.....gotta branch out before that becomes a trend, lol. Were Perry a human, he'd have chest surgery scars, but mammals in FB (like their irl counterparts) do not have prominent mammaries unless they're currently pregnant or nursing- neither of which Perry is remotely interested in being. What he is interested in apparently is wearing short shorts during a winter blizzard. Your fluff doesn't make you immune to catching a cold, Perry! Come put on mittens before Tibbs has to chase you!
