Best Buddies
Added 2020-05-09 00:40:11 +0000 UTCI lost track of what the heck is going on in the Equestria Girls universe years ago, but I saw a clip recently of Bulk Biceps slinging his arm over Derpy's shoulders while they walked and laughed together. I'm going to take this to mean Bulk and Derpy are best friends, and have been since the dawn of time. It's canon, sorry, I don't make the rules!
Naturally, when each end up with unplanned foals rather young into their adult lives, they vow to have each other's backs in this stressful and uncertain time. Both Derpy and Bulk were heavily bullied growing up to to their clumsiness and perceived mental shortcomings. Both Derpy and Bulk are reasonably intelligent and capable, their brains are simply wired different, and they struggle a bit with forgetfulness, difficulty focusing, and not often being able to see the "obvious" solution to a problem. (Like this guy!) They work best with ponies willing to extend them a bit of patience, which unfortunately can be in short supply in Ponyville.
Because both ponies knew how awful it was to be presumed as stupid, they vowed to raise lil Featherweight and Dinky with utmost love and patience, and raise them in close proximity, so the foals could have a lifelong friend in each other.

2020-05-10 04:26:18 +0000 UTC"Wife", nah. More like short-lived girlfriend. It's Blossomforth, a mare we saw attending Wonderbolts Academy with Rainbow Dash and Bulk. Blossom befriended Bulk, but never meant for their relationship to be anything serious. She wanted to focus on becoming a Wonderbolt. She was startled and terrified when she came up pregnant, and fled back home without a word. She tried to pretend everything was fine and concealed the pregnancy as long as possible. By the time Bulk finds her again, she's distraught, she's waited too long and her options have narrowed, whatever is she going to do with a baby? She doesn't know the first thing about being a mom! She's tanked her career before it even took off! So Bulk offers to raise the baby himself, to give her back her freedom. Blossom is infinitely grateful and seizes Bulk in a big wailing hug. Bulk ends up raising little Featherweight on his own. Blossom was not present in Feather's life, though she did start sending Bulk support checks when she found her footing as a Wonderbolt.

2020-05-09 06:44:30 +0000 UTCIt’s pure fanon. :> Dinky is a purple filly with blonde hair, so fans speculated on a possible relation to Derpy. It’s popular headcanon to have Derpy be a single mom, or Dinky’s older sister. There’s never been anything in canon to hint at this, in fact if I’m remembering correctly, Dinky’s been spotted near a different overprotective female character that may be her canon mother.

As such, Feathers and Dinky both view the other's parent as an aunt/uncle/parental figure growing up, and still had regular get togethers after the roommates eventually found their own homes. The four are simply tied together forever as a family in their hearts
