Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
It's all right, it's all right
got a request for Chakra having a pleasant moment with his mother. Prolly not gonna finish this tonight (got a killer headache), so have this sloppy ass wip
Chakra found his early childhood pretty pleasant indeed. He lived with his mother in the woods, sometimes in communes, sometimes homeless, sometimes singing along with her to score a few coins from passing onlookers. He was often dirty and allowed to roam without supervision, and it wasn't until Auntie Fluttershy stepped in that Chakra started attending formal school.
Treehugger was a warm and affectionate mother, and she passed onto Chakra a love of music, meditation, and wanderlust. For a good long while, Chakra adored his mom, she was his favorite pony in the whole wide world.....
Unfortunately, Treehugger, though well-intentioned and sweet, was not a good mother. She was overly permissive and uninvolved, and often left Chakra to go do her own thing. Chakra spent a lot of time at Auntie Fluttershy's house, hooves pressed to the window, waiting for his mother to return. Treehugger never set rules or expectations, and her flightiness and emotional neglect left a wound that began to fester into resentment. For a while, Chakra, being too young to blame his parents, began to believe that their abandonment must have been his fault. He came to believe there was something inherently unlovable about himself, and that everyone would leave him, eventually. This resulted in a fear of becoming close to others, emotional withdrawal, juvenile delinquency.....and later, he began redirecting his self-loathing outward, coming to hate and avoid his parents.
As an adult, Chakra is hurt and angry about Treehugger's seeming obliviousness regarding their poor relationship. Treehugger is not oblivious. She can sense her son's anger just fine. She simply doesn't know what to do about it. Good vibes only make him angrier, he downright bristles at physical affection, and the last time she told him she loved him, it made him cry. He called her a liar. What can be done? Treezy has never encountered a problem she couldn't solve with enough positivity......but in this, every thing she does only makes things worse.
Deep down, Chakra just wants his mom. But Treehugger is as lost as he is.
