May Update, state of Development

As some of you may have already known, on 6th April 2018, Aox's father passed away. Aox announced his departure from our project shortly after to pursue his own carreer path.
Since then we're one man short on an important role. We tried scouting/recruiting a core animator for the role but to this day we have yet to find a good candidate.
Two weeks ago, we have invested in a set of Ikinema Orion Motioncapture System. The shipment should take around 1 month to arrive and we're hoping to speed things up with this new investment. There are still works to be done with the setup and R&D but we're optimistic about the potential output.
Meanwhile we begin working with 2 concept artists towards art direction and upcoming areas, hence there will be more official concept arts coming soon!
The newly added Map has been many months in the makings and a huge challenge to have overcome thanks to time dedicated by ValdericBlackstag.
Although the Map serves only as a sightseeing/wip countryside with limiting zone for the time being, I hope you guys enjoy the new area. Due to its huge map size and assets associated with it, we will make a poll of whether or not we should separate map from the main game as a standalone during the times of development so to ease the huge file size.
Lastly, thank you for your continuing supports and patience! We have finally put together a new build (v1.3.0) and it's available for our player-tier (10 USD) patron as of now. For the supporter-tier (3 USD) we have unlocked SoE Pre-Alpha v1.2.0 for you guys to access to.

2018-07-29 08:18:49 +0000 UTCThank you for the kind words, we are reaching to a point where we're locking down the gameplay and direction as a whole, no longer we can solely just rely on showcases of models and animations, we have now an enormous task to grind out. There are so many things we'd like to get done before considering implementing options like VR and many others. It won't be realistic to promise everything unfortunately!

As others have stated before me, one of the most impressive parts of your previous builds was the animation quality - it's simply incredible and very lifelike! I really hope you manage to find someone who can create more animations of a similar quality. This is probably the only project on Patreon I am invested in supporting long term - I can't overstate how much confidence I have in you guys! Take your time, and don't worry about people trying to encourage you to rush the next build out of the door. A quick question to go with my post - has there been any consideration of adding VR to this game? It seems like a perfect fit, especially with the inclusion of the PoV camera. Curious to see what you guys think of the idea.

2018-06-08 08:26:06 +0000 UTCMakes me slightly worried, my main issue with "A Cathouse Tale" is the animation. Looks like it relies way too heavily on motion-capture. I love the current type of animations you guys have, a change to something as uncanny as what I'm expecting would be greatly disappointing.
