Letter from the devs: The future of AI

thank you for your understanding and patience after we had to remove the AI functionality from the PCVR version sold on Steam.
Since then, many of you have asked about our next steps. While we still cannot present a definite plan with dates and numbers, we can give you an idea of what to expect and roughly when.
The AI as you know it (and as it’s still active for our users of the Quest version available on Patreon) has always been a temporary, experimental version of what we wanted to implement.
We are working on an upgrade. The AI will run on a professional server, featuring a larger and more advanced LLM. It will be fast and reliable. Due to the monthly server costs, it will be accessible only with a subscription on Patreon. While we cannot provide a definite price yet, it will be less than what you’d pay for our Quest version, which will continue to include the AI feature.
With the launch of the new service, we will also add more voice options.
This means a lot of work, so it will take some time. However, we are optimistic about launching the new service in late summer (northern hemisphere).
Again, thank you for your continuous support. We are working hard to bring the AI back to our PCVR users as an improved and upgraded service!

Just downloaded and experienced VR Hot for the very first time, this is absolutely the future! If you get this passthrough thing right you could be a billionaire dollar business in 5 years time IMO! First off great effort so far but my 2 cents for what it’s worth, 1. Hottie need to be more intelligent with her environment, for example room set up identifies my bed, when I ask her to lay on the bed right next to her she walked to the other side of the room and laid on the washing basking partially floating. 2. More animations, especially bed/chair friendly ones, also would be nice to have a proper posing system ie highlighted joints you can manipulate. 3 would be great to connect toys for example Lovense ones. But thanks so far! Wish this project a bright future.

2024-07-31 11:55:15 +0000 UTCAbout the system slowdowns due to long hair. Even Rapunzel looks great at a distance! But if you get close to her, she starts to freeze terribly! Add more options for ponytail hairstyles, or short hair. Long hair slows down the system a lot. Or make the long hair models simpler. It's better than watching a slideshow. About hats. Make a hat with hair sticking out from under it. So that the hat would be put on automatically on a bald head. This will avoid confusion on the head. A variety of hats, as well as short hair, also leads to getting rid of the system slowdowns. Various hoops, headbands, bows, anything that allows you to gather your hair in a bunch to avoid slowdowns at close range. Another option is to write a script in which Hottie gathers her hair in a ponytail with her own hands when the player approaches at a distance of less than a meter. Thank you!

I tried my level best to place her, but I think there is a bug. She’s not standing on the surface where I’m standing. Her half body is emotions of the ground. I guess there is a bug. Please let me know if I’m doing something wrong or if I could do anything to repair it.

The girls head will be below the floor and will need to rescan the room every day. It's pretty annoying, maybe I'm doing something wrong ? When I enter the room setup again? The oor shows that uts I the right position, but the girl will be about 4 feet lower than the floor. This is for quest version. Thanks in advance.

I do have a question though, I don't understand the hottie card thing. Does it mean I can take a photo of anyone and the app will put their face in it??? I can't seem to figure it out or find any 'detailed' tutorials on it?

2024-06-18 12:04:49 +0000 UTCThere are a ton of YouTube videos that show how to sideload unofficial apk using sidequest. For me, once sidequest is connected to my headset, it's just a drag and drop of apk on sidequest UI and it installs the apk on Quest3. It appears under 'Unknown Sources' in Quest 3. Shouldn't take more than a min or two to get the updated app up and running.
