Severing Time & Space - Map

I showed you guys the incomplete map for Severing Time & Space a little while ago.

This map is more or less complete. It's labeled and everything, but I am currently looking into what sort of font I should use.

I want to use font with a Chinese aesthetic since this is a wuxia, but I also want it to be legible.

Let me know what you all think.

Also, if you have a font suggestion, feel free to let me know.

I'm thinking of keeping the Asian font for the Nation names and changing the cities and geographical locations into an easier-to-understand font. That said, I want to appeal to people who are more into the Asian wuxia over the western stuff.

You can go a bit tooooo much down the Chinese route with italics etc, it depends on the market your aiming for if it’s a western market then a mix would probably be well received if the Asian market then more Asian characters would make the font bad for westerners. Personally I find a lot of Asian wuxia a recipe of zero to hero insult ancestors or people in positions of power beat said people up clan etc, then cultivating to go to next level rinse and repeat.

Thanks! I'm really going all out on this series. I want it to feel more like an actual wuxia/xianxia story instead of a westernized version of the genre. Plus the Four Heavenly Beasts are awesome. Lol.

Thank you for the suggestions. I'm gonna try and make the city names and geographical sites more legible. I'll probably keep the font for the nations since I really like it.

I have to agree with Yitzhak the larger city names are easier to read the smaller ones I would think it probably better with a different font for those and I agree I like the compass too.

Love how the map is looking, but font is a bit tricky to read some of the letters fully.

I love the use of the 4 Heavenly Creatures as the compass rose, that's a neat little touch fans of Wuxia/Xanxia will enjoy. I do like the Chinese inspired font, though its use does make the smaller towns and locations a bit harder to read. Maybe you could try a different font for the towns while keeping the Asian font for everything else? Either way, I'm really digging the map!
