STNS: Chapter 378

Fighting against his brother was not going to be easy. They were inside of an enclosed space, Jian Wu was also present, and hiding within the room was a still unconscious Huo Yulie. What if they began fighting and a stray attack hit one of them? Huo Yulie might be fine since she was immune to fire, but Jian Wu could die, especially in his currently weakened state.

[Empyrion Dance]

Chi burst from Huǒ Pànguó as fire swirled around his left hand, many flaming threads like strands ...

STNS: Chapter 377

Huo Shuchang stalked the forest, branches crunching under his feet. The dense foliage was so thick he could barely see a few chih in any direction. He was glad that his phoenix blood granted him immunity to heat, but sadly, it did nothing against the humidity. This sweltering forest had several sources of water and all of them were hot. Steam rose from their surface like smoke from a fire, and the moisture heavy atmosphere caused his clothes to cling to his skin.

Let’s see… what...

STNS: Chapter 376

The phoenix dragon was a majestic creature, possessing the serpentine grace of a dragon, its scales shimmering with iridescent reds, golds, and oranges, reminiscent of a vibrant sunset. Yet it also bore flaming wings and a mane that seemed akin to the phoenix. He didn’t know what or how this creature had been born, though he suspected the phoenix’s power had something to do with it.

More than its appearance, its power was something to be wary of.

Wu Jian had already tried atta...

STNS: Chapter 375

Inferno Ravine was quite unlike the chasm they had walked through when searching for a place to let Wu Jian stabilize his cultivation. From a distance, it looked like a massive ring that encircled the Realm of Sacred Flame’s core layer. They had to pass through several smaller chasms, a number of forests, and some caves that led through a mountain. Each area was teaming with magical beasts, all at the Deva Realm or higher.

The four of them were strong, however, and the magical beasts ...

STNS: Chapter 374

Wu Jian soon discovered that helping Youmei reach the Deva Realm wasn’t going to be as simple as he originally thought. They had fed her the magical cores of the Blaze Lions, which he had expected to boost her all the way to the Deva Realm, since they were the spirit cores of Deva Realm beasts, but his expectations were met with disappointment.

Youmei barely grew at all.

She had consumed twenty spirit cores and only reached the fifth Subrealm of the Human Limit Realm.

STNS: Chapter 373

They sat around the campfire--him, Huo Shuchang, and Huo Yulie. Youmei was still unconscious. The giant panther’s head rested on Wu Jian’s lap, and he stroked her head and ears, which twitched as though she were ticklish.

No one was saying anything. Huo Shuchang stood before the fire. A cauldron full of bubbling liquid hovered over the fire, set up on a tripod. He added ingredients from what they foraged one by one.

Huo Yulie sat beside Wu Jian, not quite close enough for thei...

STNS: Chapter 372

Wu Jian had spent several days inside of that cave. His newfound strength had been far too much for a single day’s worth of effort.

He spent the entire first day in meditation, which was essential for harmonizing his chi and achieving balance. By meditating for a prolonged period of time, he was able to calm his mind, release his inner tension, and regulate the flow of chi through his meridians. It was harder than it sounded. Meditating was far more than just sitting on his butt and k...

STNS: Chapter 371

Several things happened at almost the same time. If Huǒ Yulie’s eyesight wasn’t as good as it was, she would have missed it.

The first thing that happened was shadows leaping out of the ground to create a wall that the flaming projectile slammed into. The fire from her eldest brother’s attack blasted right through it, but the shadows weakened the attack and it was slower than before.

The second thing that happened was someone dropping from the sky. It was Huǒ Shuchang. He ...

STNS: Chapter 370

Huo Yulie did not understand what was going on. Who was this man? How had he entered the Realm of Sacred Flames when it should have been blocked off to everyone except the winners of the tournament? While she didn’t understand how this had happened, she understood enough.

“If thou wishes to harm Jian Wu, then thou shalt fight me.”

With that declaration, Huo Yulie released her power; chi flooded the land, scorching hot and brilliant like crimson flames. The sound of a phoenix...

STNS: Chapter 369

The sound of a lion’s dying groan echoed around the forest as Wu Jian killed his fifteen Blaze Lion. He had discovered a few things about his newfound power. It was now far easier to manipulate the Dao of Space than it ever had been before. He could create blades of space anywhere he wished so long as it was within a certain radius, and he could sense any creatures within that radius, making it impossible for someone to sneak up on him. The number of blades he could control at any given tim...

STNS: Chapter 368

Stepping through the portal of the Flame Sanctum, Wu Jian and Huo Yulie emerged from the other side in short order, yet during the brief stint, Wu Jian felt the principals of the Dao of Space surrounding him far more keenly than the last time he had used such a portal. Either the gateway to this realm was stronger than the one used by the Saintly Sword Sect, or he was more perceptive thanks to reaching the Deva Realm.

“So this… is the Realm of Sacred Flames,” Wu Jian muttered to h...

STNS: Chapter 367

Wu Jian did not doubt that Wu Meiying had put Zhe Dāozhe up to this. He didn’t know what she had done to convince the man, but perhaps he hadn’t needed too much convincing.

Joining the Heavenly Sword Sect would yield protection for Wu Jian as the sect was renowned for its martial prowess and ancient lineage. Even with the current trouble from the magical beast invasion that hit multiple nations, they were still the most powerful sect.

As a member, he would be granted shelter ...

The morning after the tournament found Huǒ Pànguó standing before the throne room, where his father was located. He was currently in discussions with the elders over the results of the tournament. Huǒ Pànguó couldn’t hear what was being said. However, there was little else they could discuss. He was certain they were disappointed and angry with the way things turned out.

That damn Jian Wu… just who is he?!

As the eldest son of a powerful and prestigious clan, th...

STNS: Chapter 365

The lightning had settled down, and yet, Wu Jian still hadn’t moved from where he sat cross-legged in meditation. An overwhelming surge of power coursed through his meridians. In the wake of his breakthrough, his perception of reality seemed to have expanded, allowing him to grasp the intricate dance of chi on a much grander scale. It was as if he had been confined within a small room and suddenly found himself standing atop a towering mountain, finally able to see the vast panorama spreadi...

STNS: Chapter 364

The battle between Wu Jian and Huo Yulie had heated up both figuratively and literally. Wu Meiying had excitedly watched as her man fought against someone many times stronger than him and more than held his own. This was what made Wu Jian so amazing. There were plenty of strong people in this world, but so few of them could fight someone many times stronger than themselves and have hope of victory. Wu Jian was one of those people. He had a real chance of defeating Huo Yulie.

Lilian Rizu-Kyun Cosplay!

I've recently been into having my characters dress up as characters from other series.

My Dress Up Darling is my favorite series of all time, so of course I wanted to have one of my characters dress as Marin Kitagawa. Rizu-Kyun is probably the sexiest of Marin's cosplay. That's why I commissioned someone to draw her like this.

What do you think?

STNS: Chapter 363

The last battle was between Wu Jian and Huo Yulie. There was a one hour rest period so Wu Jian could recover at least a little bit from his battle against Huǒ Pànguó. He was sitting in the competitors stand, a hand against his chest. Huo Yulie sat by his side.

Huo Yulie was a vision of grace and poise. The delicate folds of her vibrant hanfu cascaded around her like a tapestry of silk and petals, framing her form with a touch of regal allure. Her posture was a study in refined compos...

“Is Master losing?!”

“Yōuměi, do you try and go down there.”

“But--”

“Your master is in the middle of a tournament. If you go down there to help, he will be disqualified. Besides, look at him. Does that look like the face of a man who thinks he will lose?”

Sitting in the stands where they always had since the tournament began were the group from the Shang Kingdom, which now included Mei Xilan. Yu Chenguang and his wives were watching Yōuměi argue wi...

STNS: Chapter 361

The next two fights were between Huǒ  Yulie and Da Feiyun and Wu Jian and Zhuan Lin. Huǒ  Yulie and Wu Jian won their battles. Between the two of them, she had the harder fight since Da Feiyun was a much more skilled combatant. Even so, she won with relative ease. The battle after hers was another was between Wu Jian and Huǒ  Pànguó, though it would have been between Huǒ  Yulie and Huǒ  Schuchang if he hadn’t been injured so greatly.

“Brother!!”

Huo Yulie ran over to the edge of the competitor’s booth and looked ten seconds away from leaping off, but Wu Jian stopped her, grabbing her hand. She looked back, veil swishing as she eyed him like he had betrayed her.

“If you go onto that arena, Huo Schuchang will have no choice but to forfeit,” Wu Jian said calmly.

It was the morning of the final day of the tournament. The arena was packed with people who had come to watch the battles. Wu Jian stood with Huǒ Schuchang and Huǒ Yulie. The brother sister duo were quite a bit different from each other, and yet, he could see the similarities between them.

“Tis an exciting day. I cannot wait for the battles to taketh lodging.”

“I’m pretty excited to prove myself. Hey, Wu. If I show off how strong I am, do you think Hua Xue will become in...
