1st August Patreon Newsletter

It's the start of the new month and there's a lot I would like to share. There's good news and bad news. Let's start with the good news.

I have begun releasing chapters of my other upcoming stories to Yuki-Onna Patrons. I've started with Man Made God 002 because this book will be released sometime in early September. Chapters will be posted every Tuesday and Friday, so it has a similar update schedule as WIEDERGEBURT. If you read 001, you'll notice some in-game mechanics and stats that are different in 002. That's because I wrote these at the same time, but I changed 001 during the edits/rewrites. 002 is unedited, so expect the published version to be different.

Next up, and this is big. I have finally decided to get myself a Discord. Officially dubbed "Brandon's Sci-Fi & Fantasy Discord," this discord is linked to my Patreon and therefore something everyone on Patreon can come over to. You can meet with other readers, discuss your favorite characters from my stories, talk about what a terrible author I am and how I need to get a life, share artwork, or discuss your shared love for anime, manga, Japanese light novels, western harem novels, and anything in-between. Basically, I want this to be a place everyone can go to have fun. There's also an NSFW channel for people who are over 18 years old. Just Saiyan.

This is less news and more a reminder. I'm putting new artwork in my commission library for Kitsune patrons. If you are a Kitsune patron but do not have access to my library, please let me know either by commenting in this post or sending me a message. I try to add everyone who joins that tier as soon as they join, but I spend a lot of my time offline so I can focus on writing, so I might have missed some people.

Speaking of, some of you should have already gotten some artwork I sent a little while back. I hired MITSU for this month's art reward. However, she's apparently very busy with a lot of projects, so the art will be delivered later in the month. That's one of the reason I delivered some extra art a bit early. I wanted to make up for the late art.

Next up is the bad news.

As I mentioned last month, I will not be publishing any books for the month of August. Amazon's decision to de-list several Japanese light novels has left me frightened. I even discovered the other day that several FAKKU hentai series were removed from Amazon, and this was in spite of those series being categorized under erotica and therefore something only adults can buy anyway. I was going to publish Incubus 2 and Catgirl Doctor 2, but given the erotic nature of both series, I am holding off until further notice.

On that note, thanks to Amazon's decision, I have decided they have way too much power over authors and plan to slowly move some of my older series like American Kitsune onto an expanded distribution. American Kitsune 1-3 are already available on Kobo, iTunes, and Nook, but I plan to move the rest over as well. It will still be available on Amazon, just not Kindle Unlimited.

I would also like to try and put my books on Bookwalker Global. I do not know how many of you know about them, but Bookwalker Global is a digital platform that sells only manga and Japanese light novels. At present, they do not have any western stories on their platform. I'm hoping to be the first westerner to put my work up there. I think it would be cool if they sold my stuff.

If you would like to help with that, please consider going onto Bookwalker Global's E-book Request Form and requesting they add the American Kitsune series by Brandon Varnell (and Kitsune Incorporated). I think if they get enough people requesting it, they will reach out and ask me to add my books.

Last but certainly not least, a lot of people have asked about my publishing schedule for WIEDERGEBURT: Legend of the Reincarnated Warrior.

So long as this series continues to do well, you can always expect me to publish the next book on these months: January, April, July, and October. I want to release these books at a regular schedule so people will always know when to expect a new volume.

Anyway, that is all I have to say for now. Before I go, I just want to thank everyone on here. I know I've had to make some changes recently because of Amazon's nonsensical removal of Japanese light novels, manga, and hentai. I'm glad all of you are sticking with me. Thank you very much for your continued support. I will try to live up to your expectations.
