June 2020 Newsletter

I meant to write this newsletter a little sooner, but a lot has been going on both in the world at large and with my writing.

To start things off, I'm sure everyone is aware of what's going on in the US with the protests, riots, police brutality, etc. I'm not going to get political on this. Instead, I want to say that I hope all of you remain safe during this time.

Now, there are a few things I need to discuss in this newsletter.

I'm not sure if Patreon has made a huge announcement yet, but I received an email telling me that they have to charge patrons a sales tax based on where we live.  While this upsets me, my understanding is they are trying to follow the law regarding taxes. I'm not sure what it means for everyone. However, I was required to fill out a lot of information regarding what kind of rewards each type of patron gets from me. It's quite possible that no one will get charged a sales tax since all I provide is digital...but I really don't know what each state considers taxable.

I also wanted to ask everyone if they enjoyed Arcadia's Ignoble Knight: The Lich King Part II? It doesn't seem to be doing very well on Amazon, with the least amount of reviews out of all my series. This makes me think I would be better of axing the series now instead of publishing new volumes that no one will like. I would personally like to keep publishing it. If anyone would like to see this series continue, please consider letting me know with an Amazon review. They are the best way to let authors know you enjoy their stories.

Incubus 1 just had its launch and it seems a lot of people are enjoying it. The series has already reached best selling status. Oddly enough, it's a best-seller in urban fantasy erotica, a category I did not place it in. I'm not sure what to think of this. However, since this series does have a lot of sex, I figured erotica is accurate enough. I want to thank you all for reading this, and I would especially like to thank the four people who have left a review so far. I'm hoping this series will become a fan favorite.

The last bit of news I have for you all is that Kirsten and I have signed a contract to create the American Kitsune manga/comic adaptation. I'm going to start posting sketches of what she sent me so far later today. I hope you guys will enjoy reading this as much as she and I enjoy making it.
