Delay

There's good and bad news.
Good news: I fixed all reported bugs and tweaked few things.
Bad news: Well, not all bugs. There is one pesky bug that is preventing me from starting beta testing 2. Well, everything is okay if you are playing from the beginning but if you are loading save from previous version at some point you get stuck. I could release new version without backward compatibility but I know how important it is to be able load old save. I've spent whole weekend figuring out how to fix this bug and still without success. I'll try some more, and if I won't fix it I'll have to rework whole mechanic that I added in this version. Let's hope it won't happen.
Also in September I was extremely busy (and still am, until Thursday). I'm taking lessons which will have an impact on the quality of the game (hopefully you'll see it, and it wasn't complete waste of time). But it took almost all my time. It ends on Thursday so hopefully after that I'll finally release this version.
And In the future I'm thinking about changing a bit my release strategy. Maybe more frequent but smaller updates would be better? I mean every time one quest is finished or 2-3 new scenes? I'm just wondering what do you think.
Okay, that's it for today, and I'm extremly sorry for all this delays.

Save compatibility is a problem if game is far in story development and lot of grinding involved. But in it's current state it's a waste of time.

2016-10-06 21:17:42 +0000 UTCYou can always release the game with a save file from the new version beginning with the new content. So people who don't want to play the whole thing over again can just pick it up were they left off (more or less).
2016-10-06 16:36:29 +0000 UTCI see this like the others. As long as the new vversion works with it's native saves then saves from the old version are irrelevant, so don't blast all your energy into that stuff.
2016-10-04 11:35:00 +0000 UTCOh wow, dude I really wouldn't stress about backwards compatibility. I thought most developers purposely don't include it so players have to test earlier content during each phase of the development cycle. I think you'd find most people don't mind not being able to use old saves. I'd also strongly suggest not reworking this mechanic you're talking about in favor of old saves not working, the priorities are a bit off there.

2016-10-03 22:23:29 +0000 UTCi'd rather play from beginning cause it seems i missed a few things, and would like to see what you have added new since the last time i played
2016-10-03 20:03:26 +0000 UTCBackwards compatibility is nice, but isn't always possible (especially if new globals or the like have been added). Besides, I think most will want to start over and see how different scenes are effected by different levels of stats (still hoping she'll be quiet enough for the guys in the tavern to lift her skirt, mess around under her top, etc if her stats are high enough).

2016-10-03 19:10:37 +0000 UTCYou could also leave the bug in this version of release and then have the time in between to route the problem away. As long you give brief warning of bug in game for those that don't care to keep up with you and just want to play.

2016-10-03 17:00:55 +0000 UTCFor what it's worth, I also don't mind starting again. Usually, several months have passed when I play a new version, so I don't remember which options I picked anyway, and I adore to discover new stuff (or that I've missed) just by going with the flow. I appreciate some kind of changelog, but I don't see it as essential for each and every release, as long as I am not forced to use a guide to find out what has changed. If the new game systems are worth it, and enforcing a "new game" can help you saving time hunting down nasty bugs, I'd say go for it (as long as you warn the player that save-games are no longer compatible). Some regular updates on game progress however, like you've been doing lately, remain a must to me. Thank you for that.
2016-10-03 16:55:18 +0000 UTCI don't have a file right now so I don't mind trying from scratch and see what may cause issues to be fixed
2016-10-03 16:37:02 +0000 UTCWell the most imprtant thing is what your patrons say. And most of them dont mind playing from the start. Neither do I because we know when where and what to do. Plus the game will refresh our memories and make the things you added in more interesting and erotic. Imo.

2016-10-03 08:39:25 +0000 UTCI don't mind playing it again. Besides I might try a new path. Either way I'd be game.

2016-10-03 08:37:30 +0000 UTCI don't know about other people but I don't have the interest or time to spend several hours replaying an entire game every time it's updated. So I hope you continue to make sure saves are compatible in future versions. The alternative for myself and I imagine a lot of others is to simply not play the game until its done, whenever that may be. Which is a shame when the game is well done or interesting such as this one.
2016-10-03 00:45:32 +0000 UTCI think as long as there's several new scenes you can release something but I'd recommend against until then. Otherwise, you get things like Sunsetriders7 and his releases of Something Unlimited where every new release is a bug fix with 2 or 3 new pictures. As a general rule, never halt adding content to the game. I've seen too many projects crash and burn because they try to revamp and fix everything up while people get bored running out of things to do.

2016-10-02 23:31:12 +0000 UTCcan I offer myself to join the beta test again? :P

2016-10-02 23:16:50 +0000 UTCit will be ok for me to start from beginning again, plus the ''rework whole mechanic'' sounds like a lot of work D: But well, you decide. I can't wait to see Ravy running around in her short sundress >_

2016-10-02 22:49:43 +0000 UTCI was planning on starting from the beginning anyways so I would personally be fine with it. Just glad to see a update on what's going on. Can't wait. Keep up the good work.
2016-10-02 22:09:32 +0000 UTCbtw i know you are busy but have you checked the latest bugs i reported. sorry if im sending you to many messages but every day i either have new ideas or find new bugs

2016-10-02 21:23:59 +0000 UTCoh a second thing to be honest if you need to make us start from zero im pretty sure not many will complain, i being planning to do it anyway because there is so many quest in my logs that i finished but they never say complete like rescue ella i already finish that quest but still on my ongoing quest another would be the feast ones i finish both but is still glitched, What im trying to say if you forced us to start from zero well so be it is better to kill a bug than kill yourself fixing a pesky bug. another thing you could do is release a save before this new release stuff that way people who doesn't want to start from zero can still play.
john
2016-10-02 21:22:11 +0000 UTCwell i do believe more frequent releases would help you kill bugs easier since you can have more control over them.
