Let me stare at it a moment and think. I've been glued to it the past two days so I might feel differently when I look at it again later but right now I find that vertical line down the middle of the neck a little disruptive to the composition. It points straight down out of the picture instead of leading the eye back in. The eye goes to the high contracts area and then falls down out of the image when it should come back around to the bird. It may help if I were to paint the background around the raven even lighter? Also that pale color around the bird goes right up into the corner, which also acts as a drain. It's not as bad as it could be but I still wonder if I should darken up that corner. I also wonder if I should lighten up the shoulder a little bit so that right edge doesn't look quite so informationless. Having the robes disappear into the background is fine but maybe I want a tiny bit more definition?

2020-04-04 22:52:50 +0000 UTCMy life has changed very little. I was already kind of under a quarantine of my own making XD My ability to make art seems more dependent on the seasons than anything. It's spring and I have some creative energy coming back!
