Salmon Days
Added 2019-10-07 02:11:14 +0000 UTCI spent the day at a street festival up in Issaquah Washington that celebrates the return of spawning salmon. The fair part is just a regular street fair type deal but getting to see the salmon swimming up the fish ladders and the coho fry was super cool. There were a lot of crafty artist type stalls and some. Very good ceramicists.
The only hitch we had was that one of my group managed to get stung on the roof of their mouth by a bee. It was the craziest thing. A bee landed on their savory crepe ( like not a thing a bee would typically be drawn to) and she took a bite and got stung. So we had to go and hang around a medic type area for a little while to make sure she wasn’t allergic.
I’m back to work tomorrow. I’ve got one finished painting to scan after I varnish and another I miiiiiight finish.

It was especially alarming because her father is super allergic to bee stings and his throat closes up immediately so we were like rushing along to find a medic just in case she inherited that. But it really didn’t swell at all—just hurt— so after we hung around the fire station for a while to make sure she didn’t go into anaphylactic shock we just went about our day. So far it seems fine. Still concerned it might swell up later though.
