Lost or Stolen artwork
Added 2018-02-09 22:49:31 +0000 UTCSo this morning the art show director of Furry Fiesta called me to let me know the artwork I'd sent him had not arrived. I checked my postal information and went to the post office and they had no record of it in their system, which means that it was probably stolen off my porch waiting for pickup. :C
I've used postal pickup for years with zero problems and I thought my neighborhood was pretty 'safe' in terms of theft but there it is. It's possible that the package was picked up and wasn't scanned properly and is floating around in postal limbo, but there's no way for me to know.
It had a lot of original work and was a $3000+ value so I'm kinda bummed about it. If it doesn't turn up in the post office I might put a sign out asking whoever took it to return it. Being practically useless except in fandom, they might, who knows.

Yeah me too. .___. It's not looking good. On Monday when the businesses down the road are open I might go down and see if they caught anything on their security cameras.

It was a hard, long, dark winter and I had to force myself to get up and get to work and that work is gone with nothing to show for it. It wasn't work I cared about, either. The actual paintings were just something to sell for income. I feel like maybe it's time for me to get into work that I care about.
