Resource Weds-- how to make a gradient pallet

Ooop sorry this is a little late. I got caught up working on a design project.

When I actually remember to do this (I am a forgetful little bug) It helps me enormously with speed. You see what I could make in five minutes; with refining it could be realistically rendered in twenty. I don't have to think or worry about color selection. It's better than selecting color on the object, itself, because while you work you tend to smudge out or render away the extreme darks and lights needed to look highly realistic. (At least I do anyway!)

This works very well for simple coloring, a single character, no background, but can also be adapted to more complex painting where light is bouncing all over the place. It DOES reduce spontaneity and creative use of color, though, so use wisely.

Yeah try it out! It can be handy for character design.

Ooo, what a great idea! Especially when tweaking after adding colors on layers above. I have to disable those layers to pick the right colors later. This I will try remember to use! =D
