June Update (video progress and new script completed)

Hey gang!

Fairly short update this time around as I crack on with the next couple projects. The Frasier video wasn’t quite coming together. I recorded and edited the audio, from an incredibly long script, and it just came across as boring, and I wasn’t sure if it was just me or if something was inherently wrong. Listening to it I was suddenly able to identify why that had happened and went back in and overhauled it paragraph by paragraph, ultimately cutting the script down by a full five pages. It’ll be a long one, but I think it’ll be a lot better than the version I had before, and to be honest I just really wanted to get the script right before I committed to putting the edit in the timeline this time around, all of which you’ll hear more about when I complete the video and post the behind the scenes writeup. I’ll be heading back in to record in a few minutes from posting this, so the work continues.

I also however can happily announce another script was finished last week- after leaving it alone for a while, I went back to an old draft and finally found a way to put into words what I wanted to say about Return to Monkey Island from what I’d already written. It’s a much shorter video so I’m optimistic work should go smoothly, and will keep you updated on the result.

Patreon rewards are still being organised around that, with the Sly 2 Retrospective commentary already recorded for ASM Patrons, and videos being shot for my progress on the Frasier project for the Usher tier.

Itching to get this next one out and show it to you all- got a little more personal than expected, if I’m honest, and now there’s scrambled egg all over my face. What is a boy to do. *jazz*
