If you feel that defending your belief is like whack-a-mole then at some point you would think you would rethink your beliefs. They put it as defending. If there was evidence that says its definite relating to an actual person(god) you wouldn't feel you'd have to vigorously convince everyone all the time of the reality of a being. Evidence speaks for you. Whether the opponent wants to believe it or not.
