Not sure if you're taking suggestions at the moment but you should check out Slow Horses. Its a spy drama but also very funny. Could be worth trying out for 1 or 2 episodes and seeing how you feel.

Basically tweeting all of the funny, out of touch Boomer stuff the guy's dad said. When Pierce mentioned turning it into a TV show, I believe that actually happened or was close to happening with the real thing, but it failed horribly if I remember correctly.
