He's one of the cast who is genuinely from Birmingham, and an incredibly talented and celebrated poet, who massively contributed to post-colonial literature in the UK. He plays the preacher, Jeremiah. He was a beautiful man, and his casting in Peaky Blinders was both a masterstroke and a nod to his influence and genius. RIP Benjamin.

2025-05-18 00:59:41 +0000 UTCThis season has so much to think about. That legendary Alfie scene, the chaos of grieving overlapping with the chaos of being the shadow government. But I absolutely love the Tommy and Johnny Dogs scenes in these last 2 episodes, the Alfie-Arthur one, and Tommy talking to Grace as he hears the singing, since it was singing that brought them together. I also think it's a beautiful mini scene with the 3 brothers leaving the Russian madhouse at dawn, which leads into some revelations that Tommy is trying to prep himself for losing Arthur.... Thanks for doing these!
