2024-12-08 02:50:41 +0000 UTCActually had to Google it because I was convinced Creed just made the story of the decapitation up, but according to the wiki it's what happened LOL "Viewers are left wondering if this may be untrue, given Creed's history of outlandish and inaccurate storytelling (such as a story about Dwight being decapitated), and that Ed's last name is Truck. However, it was confirmed by the show's writers that Ed was indeed decapitated. "

Of course Michael would think that all men say that and then bear hug each other after a fight. That was a show that was good for its time, but now it seems dated. All of the references and jokes about movies and the industry were all from the 2000's. There's a character based off of Harvey Weinstein that was actually just named Harvey. At the time I thought the character's rage and angry threats were hilarious and it was definitely played for comedy. It's not the same once you know the real Weinstein was like that, but in a very unfunny way.

2024-12-07 18:35:06 +0000 UTCYou are so right about what makes this show special: the writers and the actors know these characters intimately, and every single line, interaction, scene stems directly from that authenticity. It’s how they manage to get away with some of the most absurd bits without become cartoonish, because there’s nothing two-dimensional about any of it.
