Finally getting to this show and I'm happy to say I'm already finding the relatability within this show. Season 1 so similar to Always Sunny I'm hoping this show continues to grow and expand its world. Hope you guys are just as excited!

I’m so excited to catch up on these! Somethjng I heard LD talk about in an interview once was how he likes when people in the scene know that something funny is happening, so I loved you commenting about how they break and laugh sometimes. It’s like how many times in film & storytelling the characters aren’t really aware of the genre they’re in, right? Like comedies often don’t let the characters realize something funny is happening, as the audience we’re sorta laughing AT them and not with them. Anyway!!! I’m so glad you’re doing this series, I’ve watched it 100 times and I never need an excuse to watch again and I’m delighted to watch with you! 🥰

The Comeback is one of my fave cringe comedies. It's only two seasons, but so good. 💖

Okay, so the shoe salesman in Ep 2 is portrayed by Tim Bagley and he IS great. In everything he does. Specializes in individuals who are deeply bothered by minor things. A total pro no matter the size of his role.

It reminds me how everyone finds George on Seinfeld annoying and he was based on Larry :P

I don't know if this was already said but I LOVE Mary and Ted and they've been together since 1995! Before she was married and had a son with Malcolm McDowell (star of Clockwork Orange). Something TRULY interesting about Steenburgen is this fact: In 2007, Steenburgen underwent minor surgery on her arm, which required a general anaesthetic; shortly thereafter, she began experiencing "music (...) playing in her head day and night". She subsequently took music lessons so that she could write down what she was hearing, and by 2013 had almost 50 songwriting credits.[9] She has collaborated with musicians from Nashville and was also signed to Universal Music Group as a songwriter. In 2018, her composition "Glasgow (No Place Like Home)" as performed by Jessie Buckley featured as the climactic musical moment in the film Wild Rose and won Steenburgen several awards, including Critic Choice Award. On October 30, 2020, Steenburgen signed a global publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing Group. She literally went into surgery and woke up with prodigal music talent!!

Welp... another series to get into because James vs. Cinema started it. Thus far it's great.

I remember listening to the audio commentary for the first episode and Jeff Garlin mentions that he was still recovering from a stroke he'd had before production on the series began. At one point there's a close-up on him and he just says "Oh my god look at my stroke face! I look so strokey!"

Brandon

Great reaction to an all time great show. Also, that dude looked nothing like Mos Def.

LETS GOOOOO

You haven’t experienced cringe until you’ve experienced through Larry David lol.

George Ray

This is gonna be 🔥

Tyler Bramhall

Haha, it's interesting for sure. The show is literally almost painful sometimes with the uncomfortable second-hand awkward situations, and Larry is such a garbage person at times/in some ways, lol. But at the same time, you can enjoy him, and the bizarre scenarios he gets himself into, while he does himself no favours, usually involve the other party(ies) being ridiculous or unreasonable.

Luke Trottier

Lol, based on your description, it could literally be hundreds of different characters... But. That character is so freaking incredible, and the chemistry, that I feel very confident I know exactly who you mean. I won't say anything else, and please don't, either. But yeah. :)

Luke Trottier

the show doesn't live rent free in my head like always sunny, but it's a Damn good show and later seasons have one of my favorite TV characters of all time

monyfornow

I love this show, even though I think Larry David plays such an annoying person- like one of the worst people lmao. (Even though I can kinda relate to his character in some of my annoying habits lol).

Virgo

You are correct about the improv. Each scene the actors know the general beats to hit but other than that it’s all improv. Also, you were right about Richard Lewis and Larry David being friends in real life. They were friends since they were kids.

facechasebass

This is gonna be pretty good, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good

Matt

Excited for this! You kinda got the vibe of the show right off rip. Kudos. You're definitely going to love all the upcoming cameos. Already can't wait for the next episodes lol

Markus Burns

So excited for this. If you're already into it, it only gets better. This is like season 1 of sunny in that it just doesn't even compare to the peaks that are coming.

Justin Feldman

Oh, hell yeah! 🔥

Linda

😂😂😂

James Adams

Aw shit you are doing Curb too. You just need Sopranos to cover my Mount Rushmore 😂
