Just subbed because I saw you'd reacted to this and then saw you were almost done on Patreon and I'm ready for a rewatch. I love this show so much, it's very close to me. It's fascinating. The music is intensely good. Its love for New York City is beautiful and I think your own love for the city makes this reaction great. The cinematography is unmatched on TV. I remember being entranced from the first title card. Every episode's title card moment is awesome.

I've been encouraging other reactors to watch it, but I think most are convinced it won't do well for their channels. I disagree. Quirky cult classics do VERY well, often. ...Thank you, thank you.

The only potentially negative thing I would say that isn't even necessarily a criticism, is that a lot of concepts and even plot lines are very heavily lifted from another very good piece of entertainment. I don't want to say too much because spoilers, but once you get to a certain point in this series I would be interested to see if you and everyone else sees the very strong parallels to another piece of art... ** edit - I said that some plot and concepts were lifted, but I should say they feel somewhat lifted, as I don't know if they were done so intentionally. Also, it's not necessarily a negative because this show gets to take its time with it and goes down lots of other avenues, but the similarities are quite striking. Once again, won't say more to avoid potential spoilers, still an absolutely fantastic show, on a tier above almost all other television

Glad you’re already vibing so much with the music/cinematography/editing/everything. I knew this was gonna be worth the wait. Sam Esmail and his old roommate used to be amateur hackers. All of the hacking in this show is meant to be as real as possible. Almost everything you see or hear hack-wise will be true and heavily grounded in reality. Sam Esmail has a tremendous commitment to details in this series and that extends to him wanting the hacking to all be very realistic and very plausible. And you will definitely see the passionate filmmaking communicated on screen. Sam Esmail writes every episode and directs every episode starting in season 2. Mac Quayle does all the music. Todd Campbell does all the cinematography. It’s a very beautiful cohesive vision from beginning to end. And you’ll see the strengths of the show grow and evolve as it goes on. And much like with Breaking Bad, it was a show that was planned out from the beginning and doesn’t overstay it’s welcome. It knows exactly when and where it needs to end so you can rest comfortably knowing that you’re in Sam Esmail’s capable hands 😂 And we haven’t seen much yet, barely scratched the surface, but Rami Malek does an amazing job as Elliot. I’d put it up there with the likes of Bryan Cranston as Walter White in terms of bringing a flawed but interesting character to life in a way that I don’t think any other actor would’ve been able to & I’m glad you’re excited about it being in NYC! The city is practically a character itself in this show. Same with how Elliot talks to us the audience and treats us like a character. Fun details like those give the show a lot of flavor and personality on top of everything else

I'd never felt that before (and haven't since), something about the incredible soundtrack mixed with dreamlike dialogue is so soothing and captivating. After the episode ended it felt like I was having withdrawals lol. It turned out the pilot had aired month prior to the actual series starting! Longest month of my life! The show is top tier and I'm so ready to rewatch this and live vicariously through you

James I’ve been asking for this show since I started watching you during Fargo season 1 reactions; I can’t believe it’s finally happening 😭 my absolute favorite reactor reacting to my favorite show. At the risk of sounding melodramatic, this is the best Christmas present anyone could have possibly given me this year 😂😂😂 strap yourself in, you have no idea what kind of ride you’re in for. I’m leaving this comment now before I even watch but I am going to be all over these uploads. This show is such a god damn masterpiece I can’t wait 🤩 just like with breaking bad and better call Saul, every single season gets better and better and better. The acting, the cinematography, the score, it’s all something truly special. I’m going to be nerding out pretty hard every single week with these uploads. I’ve watched this show so many times and studied like it’s my damn Bible lol so I look forward to this journey 🙏

I have only seen the 1st 2 episodes i believe and remember only a few scenes from them, so this show will mostly be a first time watch for me, im hyped for this! Rami Malek is a criminally underrated actor imo, he kills it in everything i have seen him in...even the video game Until Dawn lol which i also loved btw
