Finally have some time to chill and watch some movies. Nothing better for that than John Huston directing Humphrey Bogart. When he was younger he spent two years living in Mexico even becoming on honorary member of the Mexican cavalry. Mexico was something that he knew pretty well. Huston had such a talent for character and theme. It's even in his filmmaking style as character is always what is highlighted with lighting, shot composition and camera movement. I think this is why his films has such great performances is that he really allows the character to come through and gives time for that grow naturally. The scene where Bogart is alone and is utterly losing it is so great because all the focus is on him while also showcasing his isolation. Probably my favorite Bogart scene of all time.
