It was all great, extremely useful psychology learning and heartfelt Palestine solidarity which got big applause. But I especially liked his opening bit which was basically “wow you guys are so fucking far away”.

I'm Sikh and after 9/11 even in the UK we were worried about repercussions coming our way. And also that poor man who was shot at the petrol station in America right after. Rampant Islamophobia is taking place, and it's not being taken seriously. What if someone else decides to target an Arab or Muslim "looking" person and succeeds? It's already happened before with that poor child 😞

Madonna, Natalie Portman, loads of red carpet people he was talking to at awards shows. And I'm looking at his byline at the bottom of the screen with the pey yud nun samech and thinking to myself "either these people don't know what his last name is or they're doing a hell of a job not losing their shit". You know, the way you or I would at the elephant (trunk) in the room.
