In fact, in a 2011 interview for Riz Khan on Al Jazeera, he remembered correctly that there was an enthusiastic response. Whether the crowd actually wanted to tear the wll down or were just a bunch of "liberal" Pink Floyd fans is another matter.

I have always supported BDS. Is that anecdote about the Neve Shalom concert actually true, however? I came accross a recording which suggests otherwise. We hear the crowd cheering to his comments. Pink Floyd was always my favorite band, I read everything about about them, I still know every song, Final Cut and Amused to Death are still among my favorite albums. I'm really fangirling bad over here. I have seen him live 5 times, 4 back home in Mexico City, 1 in Miami. In Miami, I saw a group of zionists that apparently bought tickets just to fuck with him. And I know that the city tried to mess up the concert. I have always admired his commitment towards Palestine, and it's one of the reasons I have always admired him so much. My mom, who got me into Pink Floyd, has always favored Waters, and she is the one who taught me all about Palestine, back in the 80s in Mexico, she knew exactly what was going on. I was raised pro Palestine and I am grateful for that. She's not going to believe when I show her the screenshot. Thank you so much, guys. I love you. Now I'm going to take a deep breath and listen to the show. Fucking A, Roger Waters. 15 year old me is jumping up and down right now.
