American Sniper (2014) Uncut Reaction!

this is a community about filmmaking and discussing movies. Sometimes people very much don't like movies for various reasons, and good conversations can be had around those reasons, and can be very fruitful and overall enrich the community. If all we did was praise every single film that there was, there would be nothing to learn or gain from this community. Biopics sometimes lie, and knowing when they do and when they don't is a critical skill to have when analyzing biopics and documentaries. Media literacy is key to creating and discussing media.

I feel like a lot of the regular commenters in this community deserve credit for holding their tongues and keeping the peace.

This is a good movie watching it again with you I found myself getting caught in the movie and forgetting you are giving us good info on my second screen. Chris Kyle was asked to take out the vet with a buddy of his. On the Drive Chris texted his friend that the guy is nuts. After they arrived and started shooting on the range. The killer would pull out his gun and kill Chris and his friend. Wanted to share the killing since you asked about it.

Thank you for watching this film. I lost a brother due to PTSD and seeing movies or videos about the war brings me into his world and how he felt.

His death is absolutely tragic and from a storytelling standpoint I feel American Sniper is a pretty good movie, but if you're wanting to look at the real person the biopic is about it's very much not an accurate or trustworthy film unfortunately.
