A Week Break from Movies (real quick)
Added 2023-04-04 02:52:12 +0000 UTCDecided to make a surprise visit to see some family. A weird combination of A Ghost Story and Crocodile Dundee had an interesting effect on me lmfaooo. Alls to say that the movie polls will come next week. In the meantime comment what films you'd like me to see next regarding our "location" aspect.
Breaking Bad & Always Sunny continue as usual :)
Great films by the way everyone!

2023-04-08 20:03:10 +0000 UTCCompletely honest I only joined for the iasap reactions and most importantly to get you to *WATCH 30 ROCK*. You will love it. The directing towards the end of season one make for some of the best looking and feeling episodes of fucking any sitcom. The writing is also pretty perfect, and Tina Fey is just always so on top of delivering her lines. She is also exactly what I would be like if I was raised a woman. (I know this is unrelated, this is just the most recent post as of me joining lol)

2023-04-05 23:52:37 +0000 UTCAdmittedly a stretch for “location”, but how about the stage at Richard Rodgers Theatre in NYC?? The movie is Hamilton (on Disney Plus), recorded over a three day period on Broadway. The stage is made of colonial era scaffolding to represent the foundation of our country. The brick wall at the back of the set grows an additional 8 ft. From act 1 to act 2 because the country is progressing and our foundation is growing. The story is sung through with musical styles ranging from hip-hop, pop, jazz, and more. Absolute genius writing, acting and production.

2023-04-05 18:34:09 +0000 UTCThe seventh seal (1957) Harakiri (1962) two of the best foreign films I’ve ever seen
Roko 1.0
2023-04-05 14:11:52 +0000 UTCThe Sorcerer (1977) Location; Mexico, Israel, France, US and Colombia (most of the movie). A great movie! And it was totally crushed at the box office by a little movie known as Star Wars. They were released the same weekend. The Sorcerer is interesting in that sense. It's was the blockbuster before blockbusters existed. And the fact that the director william friedkin is crazy and made all the actors do insane stunts for real in that movie. (The same director who made The French Connection).
2023-04-05 12:24:08 +0000 UTCSaloum (2021)

2023-04-04 21:18:42 +0000 UTCThe Plumber. A sort of thriller about the worst home repair experience ever
Yours truly, Johnny Dollar
2023-04-04 17:36:02 +0000 UTCI would recommend the animated French film, The Red Turtle (2016). The narrative takes place on a single island and it completely envelopes you with it's sound design and animation. It portrays the nature of the island beautifully
2023-04-04 17:34:41 +0000 UTCThree Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017)
Underwater Sunlight (Eddy)
2023-04-04 12:42:02 +0000 UTCBig Trouble in Little China. Who knew that turning down a random alley would land you in the middle of a Chinese funeral-turned bloody brawl ala Braveheart with green-flame summoning super soldiers from Mortal Kombat?
2023-04-04 11:40:22 +0000 UTCcrystal fairy & the magical cactus (2013)

2023-04-04 10:33:21 +0000 UTCIn The Heights (2021) - Lin Manuel Miranda’s musical love letter to Washington Heights in NYC and filmed almost entirely on location. (This should have gotten West Side Story’s nominations. I will die on this hill.) I’m gonna co-sign Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011), French Dispatch (2021), and God’s Own Country (2018) as listed above.

2023-04-04 08:25:27 +0000 UTCOh man, I didn’t realize A Ghost Story was going to hit hard like that for you too! Take that break and good care of yourself! 😊

2023-04-04 08:08:11 +0000 UTCI'd also recommend Superman (1978): Krypton, Smallville, The Fortress of Solitude, Metropolis, Lex's crib. Absolutely amazing!!
Sock Puppet
2023-04-04 04:59:09 +0000 UTCSince we're keeping with the location theme, I'm going to suggest: Jurassic Park (1993) and Rebel without a Cause (1955)
