I love that the scene with Sally and her (sort of) manager is in the same episode as the party (where Barry brings Sally that crazy expensive laptop, claims she's his girlfriend, and jealously interrupts her conversation with another guy). Unlike the manager Barry isn't trying to be manipulative, but he does come off as pretty creepy. Sally's not perfect of course - she's self-absorbed and just a lot - but I don't blame her for her reaction here.

2022-12-18 01:14:15 +0000 UTCFor real! Her experiences are so legit and I love that she doesn’t handle them perfectly while being honest about what it’s like being a woman in Hollywood. I was watching Bill talk about breaking down this episode and originally she was going to be happy to have the laptop, until he talked to female writers and directors on the show who said they’d be really creeped out by such an expensive gift after one date.

2022-12-16 21:01:45 +0000 UTCFirst time viewer watching these after the episodes - I do think she's justified due to the experiences she's been having, and under normal circumstances I'd even say she's justified in her reaction to Barry - but she can't really know Barry's experiences and how unreasonable it is for him also (but maybe I shouldn't sympathise with a hitman idk)
