2025-03-14 10:57:05 +0000 UTCThat scene where Walt lets Jane die will always stick with me, I think. When this show comes up several things immediately pop into my head, that is very high on the list. So fucking dark, I had never seen anything quite like it on television before. Truly evil.

2022-12-13 03:41:38 +0000 UTCI'm sometimes a bit of an aviation geek so the "737 Down Over ABQ" was ruined for me the first time I watched the series, I knew after the 2nd or 3rd cold open it must be a plane crash. But one of the things I just caught on the rewatch was how it was Jane's dad's conversation about loving Walt's "nephew" (Jesse) because he's family that inspired Walt to go back to Jessies place. If not for that conversation it's likely Jane and Jessie would have woke up the next day and been fine, she only rolled on her back because of Walt shaking Jessie trying to get him awake. In a sense, Jane's poor dad indirectly and unknowingly caused her death. That said I'm in the camp that as great as they are and how much I loved Jane's character for Jessie, they ultimately would have been toxic for each other regardless.
