Movie Reaction Poll

Vote on what I should watch and react to next! This Poll will end most likely Sunday and I'll choose the TOP 2 to react to next week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday will be a film of my choice or a rewatching.

No worries, I plan on actually prolonging these recommendations so don't trip if you don't see your selection on here first!

So hard to narrow my voting down this week, but I've voted for M and Rashomon. But I know Paths of Glory and The Green Knight are both terrific, and I've heard from others I respect that Y Tu Mama Tambien, Phantom Thread, and Drunken Master II are also worthy watches. Have at it!

Hope you enjoy this week's films. Your Lawrence of Arabia react was great to watch!

It’s usually 2 movies and Friday is his pick. Last week was 3 because that was his decision. This week it’s 2. Everything’s fine.

Kaitlin

Voting Deliverance again, plus Real Genius because Rashomon doesn't need my help (good news!).

Christiaan Van den Akker

Monday and Wednesday will be the top 2 and Friday will be his choice.

Y Tu Mama Tambien and Phantom Thread. Just bought the former on Criterion Blu-ray and I’d be amazed if my original NC-17 DVD still worked, and the latter is my latest going to bed movie. (And you’re right! I love M!)

Kaitlin

I know that, but his sentence still makes no sense. Last time it was 3 movies. This time ... it's undetermined which one it is

Kathera Lockharte

Usually it's the top two poll winners plus whatever James wants to watch

Ken

I know one of them is M, what's the other one?

Brett Coster

The Green Knight is a great film, sets a wonderful mood, and is a terrific retelling of the Arthurian legend. Also has terrific acting, especially Dev Patel.

Brett Coster

Same votes for me.

"I'll choose the TOP 2 to react to next week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday"? 2 reactions for 3 days? Which one is it top 2 or top 3?

Kathera Lockharte

One day, I’d love to see “Death To Smoochy” on the polls. Very underrated flick!

Green Knight’s a modern classic. It’s beautiful, surreal, and thoughtful. It’s the sort of film that keeps me excited about new movies in this age of assembly line blockbuster franchises

Ken

Deliverance is a prehistoric meme. I swear that movie is only famous for its reputation and not for being anything good.

Kaitlin

My two favorites clocking in at 19 votes each. I'm gonna cry. 😂

Kaitlin

Went with Paths of Glory and Rashomon, but I'm fine with When Harry Met Sally winning. Most people here want to vote for the newer movies ('80s is still "newer" to me because there's a wealth of great films going back to the 1910's that film buffs and students should know about) and the democratic process veers toward their support. Also, I'm sure that most have not seen even entry-level world cinema or classics before the '60s and that's just the way it goes. I'm sticking around though because every time a glitch in the matrix like in the form of Lawrence of Arabia happens and I'm here for that. Plus, James is doing the best reactions. I should sit myself down and watch the Green Knight though because I love the book and other Arthurian literature.

Bert Taverner

When I first saw it like 3 year ago (I'm 41) I was totally blown away.

Joel Swensen

Sleepless in Seattle is better but fine.

Joel Swensen

I have no problem this week with some mainstream movies since James is doing Lawrence. He does need to do Deliverance soon though, it was a pretty shocking movie for the time it came out.

RICHARD

voted M and Drunken Master 2

Solomon Wong

WHEN HARRY MET SALLY! 🗳

Bonny T

Rashomon and M!
