2022-04-07 16:36:13 +0000 UTCDie Hard and Die Hard 3 are great because of John Mctiernan. Unfortunately he was not available for Die Hard 2, and it suffered greatly because of it. He was busy filming The Hunt for Red October, a much superior film, imo. He is a great action filmmaker and its a shame he has not been around the past 20 years to.make more. The action genre has missed him. DH3 is such a fun 90s action movie because of how Mctiernan incorporates all of NYC into the story.

Live Free or Die Hard is really entertaining and putting Bruce Willis and Justin Long together as the two leads in it was a stroke of brilliance in the casting of this film. A Nice Day to Die Hard is just watchable but not a great film.
