The Silence of the Lambs Filmmaker Uncut Movie Reaction!

He is a fun fact from the book. To show just how neglected he was as a child, the killer's legal name is Jame Gumb. His mother misspelt "James" on his birth certificate. But he was in denial and swore it was intentionally Jame. So he would get mad when people called him James or Jamie.

I clicked on video to watch and it says "Sorry this video doesn't exist". I don't know what the problem is and hope you can reupload or something. I just paid to be a member and can't even watch any videos.

Something interesting that many people don't or didn't know, Silence of the Lambs is a sequel. It's not the first movie of the film series; Manhunter comes first. Due to the different team, and Manhunter's relative lack of success, they chose to not zone in or, or promote the fact that it was a sequel. In fact, Manhunter would later be re-made as a "prequel" called Red Dragon. I really like Red Dragon.

He was also in Training Day which James saw 2 or 3 months back.

By the way, since you are a fan of Scott Glen (Stick from Daredevil), got to check him out in Silverado (a western from the screenwriter of Raiders of the Lost Ark). Probably one of his best performances. Also stars Kevin Kline, Kevin Costner, Danny Glover, Rosanna Arquette, Brian Dennahey, Jeff Goldbloom, Linda Hunt, and John Cleese.

There is a sequel, Hannibal, but not nearly as good as this one, and really disappointing. Not really much story. It’s just the chaos of Hannibal is pretty much all the sequel is.

I decided to watch this for the first time with your commentary. Quite good, only disappointment was I saw Roger Corman in the credits but I did not spot him.

Great watch as always James, would love to see your mom react together with you.
