The outside meta thing about this movie that some people might not even know after watching is that the Orchid Thief really was a book brought to Charlie Kaufman for an adaptation, and this is what he made. Kind of mind blowing. Explore anything Kaufman has written, it's worth diving into his work. Also, that scene of Donald talking about his high school crush is my favorite Nick Cage performance ever.
