2021-04-03 00:09:50 +0000 UTCHey James, I highly recommend the best King Arthur story put to screen: John Boorman's Excalibur (1981). It fits in all the major beats of the entire legend and is visually striking. The cast includes a number of (to filmgoers) then-unknown stage actors in supporting roles: Gabriel Byrne, Patrick Stewart, Liam Neeson, and Helen Mirren - plus Nicol Williamson who steals every scene as Merlin.

2021-04-01 19:55:29 +0000 UTCNext poll recommendation : Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. I don't expect it will do good in the poll. Very underrated movie IMO. Worth watching for the tone only. Until then lets enjoy Apollo 13 :)

2021-03-31 22:12:29 +0000 UTCHave any Altman movies been in the polls in the past? I feel like that is one of the few great American directors to have not had any films on this channel yet.
Yours truly, Johnny Dollar

2021-03-30 16:42:46 +0000 UTCHacksaw Ridge is corny af. The only good part is the last part of the movie when he goes full hero mode. It’s a story based on the life of a truly great man, but the first two thirds are so cookie-cutter Hollywood and boring. Very overrated IMO.
2021-03-30 14:56:53 +0000 UTCIf you did end up watching This Is England, you should definitely check out the three mini series that were made after.

2021-03-30 13:21:27 +0000 UTCUmmm no one is stating you should never watch the movie again. This film was made with IMAX screens and sound systems in mind. If you saw this film at the IMAX like I did when it opened you would understand.
2021-03-30 11:53:14 +0000 UTCWelp, that didn't last
Ken
2021-03-30 03:46:23 +0000 UTCBetter on the big screen for sure but a disservice is a strong.
2021-03-29 23:01:04 +0000 UTCSadly Gravity is best suited for a large screen and an obeying sound system. You would be doing this film a disservice by watching it on a computer screen.
2021-03-29 21:05:09 +0000 UTCThe Sting is too classic to pass up

2021-03-29 18:11:50 +0000 UTCHave you seen either Legend with Tom Hardy, or Layer Cake, with Daniel Craig bud? Very different films but both excellent British Gangland movies. I'd also love to see Jet Li's Fearless make an appearance in a future poll

2021-03-29 18:02:24 +0000 UTCI think you'd really enjoy Hacksaw Ridge now while you're in the middle of watching BoB.
