By far my favorite movie, definitely the reason I got into SFX and probably for getting my film degree as well. Nothing beats this tension - I love that you brought up how smart the characters in this film are, scientists vs alien life.. reminded me of how amazing that concept is in alien. Curious how you think that transfers to recent films like Life (2017) or Underwater (2020) or even the prequel to this film by the same name, the Thing (2011). Theres such a different tone and for me it really boils down to pacing. 🤷 Love the track man, such a chill watch as always.
