I perceive demons in this anime as something like LLM (chatgpt or alternatives) or parrots. They can pass Turing test, but without understanding what they are talking about. Can speak like humans, but it's just mimicking. I'm not sure that they really understand even one word they're saying. Friren said they evolved from creatures who imitate "help" cry to catch humans.
