Added 2019-08-05 14:33:38 +0000 UTCHey readers. After waffling around a bunch, I've ended up doing a pretty substantial re-write of the Lonny chapter in Padme's Younglings. It was rightfully voted one of the least favorite chapters and hasn't sat well with me since I first wrote it. It was too forced, too derivative and contrived. There's a balance between writing what you want to see happen, and what the characters will let happen. If you put too much weight on what you want, the characters disappear and the whole thing is just bland and perfunctory. The first part on the ship headed to Naboo is largely the same, but once on Naboo it's drawn in a different direction, but with the same result - Lonny nailing Padme. But hopefully it's handled with a lot more care and ends up feeling like a more momentous event.
So anyhow, here's an obvious poll. What's your favorite Star Wars movie?
