Absolutely, that aspect of subverting straight norms and being free of the social constraints has been my favorite part of queer relationships (vs the hetero ones I was in previously). In a past relationship both my partner and I were femme and the roles "top/bottom, masc/femme" didnt really come into play at all.

Tongue barbells: On the receiving end of one, I didn’t like it, same problem Alayna described—having your hood caught and tugged on unexpectedly was frankly terrifying 😂. Re gay thought - my favorite part of being queer is the lack of rules. Who’s supposed to kill the spider? (Call back Ash ;) ) Who’s supposed to fix the leaky sink? Who’s the lead when dancing? Sometimes it’s my masc of center partner doing the masc-y things but it’s also often me, the “femme” (though I think there’re some problems with the binary of masc vs femme). It’s fun and freeing and exciting and I love subverting expectations and messing with straight norms.

No. I think there’s a difference between acknowledging that gender isn’t real as a philosophy and knowing that I identify as a woman. I’m asking explicitly in this episode for people to stop telling me what my gender is, so, please stop. I’m glad you’re here but it’s really not appropriate and it makes me dysphoric.

Just a note for Alayna: I noticed gradual deterioration of muscle tone in my tongue, post stud removal. So while my strength, and *ahem* dexterity did eventually decline after removing it, immediately post removal, I did feel like my "game" improved dramatically. I think ideally, I would get mine pierced again, and just remove the stud during intimate moments when it wasn't needed. Just an FYI of sorts.
