Horny leapers are an amphibious species from a nearby timeline. They strongly resemble the frogs of our reality, complete with light green skin that is covered in spots. The creatures begin life as a tadpole and then eventually transform into a small being with long hind legs and short front legs, an arrangement that allows them to leap incredible heights and distances.
There are two important features that make them quite distinct from natural frogs, however. The first is that the face of a horny leaper is unusually humanoid in appearance. Their eyes nose and mouth give them a striking resemblance to a tiny person, although their intelligence is still only that of a normal amphibian. Even more noticeable, however, are their enormous horns. A horny leaper is equipped with two large, sharp spikes protruding from the top of its head.
One might think the horny leaper gets its name from these giant projections, but this is only half the story. The sex drive of horny leapers is also cranked up to incredible heights, something that defines their entire lifecycle and social structure. Nearly all the time of the horny leaper is spent finding mates and trying to procreate, which has kept their population quite high.
Along with their ravenous sexual appetites, these animals hold a reverence for consent amongst one another. They begin their approach by performing a unique mating dance, and if the partner is uninterested, a horny leaper will never pursue further.
