Chewie’s are manic, energetic mammals from a nearby timeline. They are sturdy, stout creatures, approximately four feet long and standing two feet tall. Their fur is golden brown and they scurry about on short, muscular legs that keep them close to the ground. They have enormous green eyes, which are constantly held wide open unless the creatures are sleeping, happening only when they tire themselves out and finally collapse. The most notable physical trait of a chewie, however, is their enormous teeth, which are made even more visible due to the creature’s distinct lip curl.

Despite hailing from a far-off reality, chewies have made a home in the temperate forests of this timeline. Their lifecycle is similar to that of a natural mammal, but their behavior is slightly unique. Chewies have an incredibly high metabolism, constantly overwhelmed with energy and seeking food. They subsist on a steady diet of wood, and this endless eating can become detrimental if a forest is inhabited with too many chewies. Naturally, however, their high energy and loud, raucous nature keeps their species from overpopulating. They exist in a persistent state of danger, hunted by large predators like bears or wolves, or even being culled by humans for their pelts.
