Mowfits are a bizarre species that define categorization on our timeline, but closely resembles a set of clothing in three pieces. The creature can vary in color, size and style, but will always include a bottom, like a skirt or pants, a top, as well as some kind of headwear apparel. The biological makeup of a mowfit is, in fact, a type of woven fiber, but it’s through this fiber that electrical current, blood and even the creature’s organs are thinly spread. The only part of this species that does not resemble clothing is the blue tether that connects their body segments, although this is also made of soft fabric.
Mowfits exist in a symbiotic relationship with humanoid species across several realities, crawling into warm spaces where they hope to be discovered by a willing partner. Ultimately, mowfits seek to become a part of someone’s wardrobe. When a mowfit is chosen and worn, the creature begins to emit a chemical that will provide a specific euphoric sensation. Those wearing the creature will find themselves with an overwhelming sense of confidence and gratitude, which will last approximately fifteen minutes after they’ve taken off the mowfit.
In return, mowfits feed off of their wearer’s body heat and sweat, which makes up the entirety of their diet. Without these two things, the mowfit will eventually wither and die.
