Tubewhales are a species of aquatic mammal from a nearby timeline. They are incredibly similar to the natural whales of our reality, sharing a comparable temperament, lifespan, and diet. In fact, tubewhales that have somehow found their way onto our timeline can often be found swimming with various species of natural whale, sometimes even joining their pods.

The appearance of these majestic creatures is what sets them apart. Tubewhales derive their name from their bizarre shape, the creature’s entire body creating one enormous cylinder that glides through the water. They can grow up to forty feet in diameter—absolute behemoths making their way through the water with enormous, baleen filled maws that gather up plankton and other meals.

These creatures are also known for their strange calls. Tubewhales are capable of blasting incredible amounts of pressure and air through the entirety of their bodies, producing a shockwave. This simultaneously manifests as audible boom that carries out though the ocean and is used to communicate with other tubewhales, as well as a stunning, physical punch that can kill or incapacitate any creatures that might attack the tubewhale.
