(Timeline Tuesday #193)
Hailing from a nearby timeline, daisen’s are gentle creatures that strongly resemble the prehistoric dinosaurs of our reality’s past Unlike the modern dinosaurs of Tthe Tingleverse, which have developed humanoid features and heightened intelligence, the daisen is animalistic in nature, with small arms, large hind legs and a forward leaning stance.
Daisen stand approximately ten feet tall, their lime green bodies covered in scales. They have a long tale, which they use to keep their balance while moving through the lush forests and jungles of their natural habitat at incredible speeds. Their heads are oblong in shape, with a flat top and a pointed snout. The creatures have large claws attached to the bottom of each hand and on the back of their legs, and a massive, thorn-like ridge that runs down the length of their back. These spines are used as defensive measures if a diasen is attacked, but the creature typically has a peaceful and relaxed demeanor.
The most unusual feature of a diasen are the vibrant flowers that sprout from the top of their heads. Daisen petals can vary greatly in hues, covering every color of the rainbow, but a single diasen will always sport the same color across all of its flowers. Biologically speaking, these creatures are an unusual mix of flora and reptile, but most of their lifecycle resembles that of a plant.
Daisen cultivate all of their energy through photosynthesis, relying on sunlight to keep them going. Despite their mouths, daisen do not have a functioning digestive system and never eat. Daisen also reproduce in a way similar to plants, their flowers blooming and then dispersing seeds through the air. When a seed lands in the ground it will germinate, eventually growing into a young daisen that will emerge from the ground approximately six months later.
