While feelies appear to be a gathering of several distinct creatures, they are actually a singular sentience that communicates through psychic means. The entity appears as a cloud of yellow spheres that maneuver about by hovering and drifting with unexpected dexterity. Each of these orbs features a face that displays an exaggerated expression of a random emotion, including anger, happiness, surprise, confusion, agony, sadness, delight, and appreciation.

These orb swarms do not eat or consume energy in the way we understand it on our timeline. Instead, the gathering of spheres draws its sustenance from nearby feelings. Once emotions are heightened enough around a feely, a percentage of its orbs will suddenly split apart and create one or more new spheres, much like cells dividing in a human body. This new orb does not necessarily exhibit the same emotion as the one it was divided from.

Unfortunately, feelies go out of their way to trigger this process as a method of procreation. They create chaos by heightening the emotions of people around them. A feely will send its orbs towards any social living creature it encounters, spheres flying through the air and then dissolving through the skin of their target. The target will then immediately feel an overwhelming sense of the orbs defined emotion. While the feely does not feed on the emotions it directly creates through this process, it is inevitable that anyone undergoing the effects of a feely will bring out heightened emotions in others that they meet.

Through this process, feely swarms can become absolutely enormous and cause incredible havoc on our timeline, entire cities thrown into fits of torment or elation. The emotions caused by a feely dissolving and entering one’s bloodstream will last approximately twelve to twenty-four hours.

Fortunately, the more we understand feelies, the less effective they are. As awareness grows, their powers diminish, victims understanding that their heightened emotions are actually triggered by an outside force.
