Oozoboars are a species of aggressive, predatory fungus from a distant timeline. The home reality of oozoboars contains no animal life, which has caused the plants of this particular reality to evolve in strange and unexpected ways.
Oozoboars are a shade of lime green and are constantly dripping, their vague form existing in a constant state of subtle movement. Despite being an entirely fungal lifeform, with no internal organs to speak of, the oozobears manifest themselves into the shape of a boar, with four short legs, a tail, and two large tusks. The mold that creates these tusks is particularly hard, capable of piercing any of the creature’s prey just like a natural spike might.
The only distinct feature within this mass of green are the oozoboar’s two stark white “eyes.” In reality, the creature detects the world around it through a sense of vibration and heat analysis, but the “eyes” do serve a purpose. These orbs are actually fungal as well, with a similar texture to our natural mushrooms, and they work as the creature’s “brain.” While this is not entirely understood by scientists, it is known that the removal of these orbs will cause an oozoboar to collapse and behave like the mindless mold of our reality.
When oozoboars find their prey they are quick to attack, charging forward and spearing targets with their hardened tusks. Typically, oozoboars hunt for small mammals and birds, but humans have also been attacked. When an oozoboar kills its prey it will lay down on top of the body, allowing its moldy form to digest any organic material. Within forty-eight hours most prey will be fully consumed, and the oozoboar will temporarily appear slightly larger.
