Driplets are a species of small, liquid-based lifeforms from a distant timeline. While they may seem quite unusual, defying most basic animal classifications as we understand them, these strange little beings are actually quite standard on their home reality. The world that driplets hail from is almost entirely liquid, a place where very little matter can be found in solid or gaseous forms.
These creatures seek out damp, wet places on our timeline, yearning to be submerged in a familiar setting. While they can survive outside of water, absorbing moisture through the air, it is physically uncomfortable for driplets to remain exposed for too long.
These creatures are semi-translucent and light blue in coloration, blending almost seamlessly with clear water unless it’s closely inspected. They have bodies that are narrow at the top and bulbous at the bottom, with four stubby limbs that they use to scuttle across the land or propel themselves through water. Their eyes are slightly more greenish in shade than the rest of their body.
Driplets are mostly harmless and keep to themselves, however, they can become quite annoying if they find their way into a building’s pipes. These creatures enjoy huddling themselves together with other driplets, eventually creating a barrier that can fully obstruct plumbing. If the pressure builds enough, then driplets will start pushing out from the edges of ill-fitting pipes, revealing the infestation.
