Gobblers are a large species of semi-intelligent mammal from a nearby timeline. They are humanoid creatures that stand between seven and eight feet tall, with course yellowish-brown fur covering their entire body. They are muscular and stout, with thick limbs that end in clawed hands and feet, and their head is absolutely enormous when compared to the size of their body.

The only part of a gobbler that isn’t covered with hair is their large round face, which features a wide, sharp-toothed mouth and a flat nose. The creature’s eyes are big and set far apart, giving them an almost cartoonish appearance.

Despite the ferocious look of gobblers, this species is actually incredibly kind and gentle. They are frightened of humans and will avoid them at all costs, which would be easy enough if not for the fact that their favorite food is highly processed human snacks.

As the name suggests, gobblers are known for their insatiable appetites. They spend their days scrounging around for anything they can find, but their preference is items full of salt, fat, and above all else, sugar. Despite their natural habitat being the forest, this hunger prompts gobblers to often wander past the edge of civilization, breaking into cabins or homes and gorging themselves on everything they find in the pantry.

Despite their food theft, gobblers are generally well liked. There are several conservation programs setup to feed gobblers. The most well-known of these programs takes place following Halloween, when excess candy is gathered up and taken out to the wilderness in large buckets for gobblers to find.
