Orms are a species of enormous, spherical beings who have evolved from citrus fruits to create a highly intelligent species of psionic entities. When born, they are approximately the size of a basketball, but a fully grown orm will typically measure five feet across. Orm bodies are a hue of deep orange and they are covered by thick leathery skin. The creatures have large lips, which rest parted just enough to see a long row of enormous, white teeth. Their mouths stretch almost the entirety of their body. Two beady yellow eyes and a set of nostrils finish off the orm’s face.

These creatures are notorious across timelines for their pleasant, fruity scent, which is reminiscent of the orange groves of our reality mixed with various herbs and spices. It is such a wonderful smell, in fact, that the majority of orm trade across other layers of reality is in the bottling and selling of this specific aroma. While some have attempted to recreate the scent of orms, many regard orm-based perfume and cologne only valid if it sports the culture’s specific insignia.

Orm society is one of philosophy and art, deep thinkers who honor creation and expression above all other things. While they have an expected affinity for the making and developing of scents, the height of their culture is food, particularly sweet, fruity desserts. The greatest job in orm society is that of a dessert or pastry chef, regarded in the way that other communities might regard doctors or surgeons.

Unfortunately, orms can sometimes be attacked and hunted for their flesh, which is known to be delicious and sugary. Orms do not have arms or legs to defend themselves, but they are capable of wielding formidable psychic powers against those who dare to cross them.
