Birghtbulbs are a humanoid species from a distant timeline, and while their existence is quite different from humans in many ways, they are also incredibly similar in others. From the neck down, the bodies of this species are almost indistinguishable from our own, featuring two arms, two legs, ten fingers, ten toes, and a covered by a similar mammalian skin. They walk upright, and have a similar size and posture to natural humans. The most apparent difference, of course, is their enormous, translucent head.

Brightbulbs sport a massive glass bulb at the top of their body, protruding from their neck and adding to their height. This bulb contains all the features and mechanical necessities that a lightbulb on this timeline would require to function, then connecting back into their fleshy body below. This light is always on, although the static illumination is quite dim, especially if a brightbulb is sleeping or otherwise at rest. This light will only shut off completely if a brightbulb has died.

The giant glass orb of a brightbulb is a display of the energy they are using. A hard working brightbulb will glow with brilliant illumination, but these fluctuations can get even more specific. Because this species does not have mouths, they speak through sonic energy manifestations, which cause their bulbs to flicker and crackle during speech. Their vocal tone is very specific, almost musical in its electrical hum.

Brightbulbs have flourished in the world of business due to their connection with energy forms that humans have yet to fully understand. Specifically, they seem to have a psychic link with the natural force of ideas, picking up on good ideas when they’re nearby. A brightbulb in a business meeting can become a powerful tool, especially during brainstorms where their illumination can be closely monitored.
