PHASELOK - TIMELINE UNKNOWN

Phaseloks are strange, pale green humanoids from a distant, unknown timeline. They stand at approximately five feet tall and sport eight jointed appendages, two of which they use like legs for walking, and six more that act as arms. Despite this, the construction of each limb is exactly the same, and each of these arms or legs ends with two digits at the terminus. They have remarkably spherical heads, which feature four evenly placed eyes at the front in a symmetrical pattern. Phaseloks are typically cloaked in a colorful, patterned fabric, which will always feature some kind of geometrical design.

Phaseloks are highly intelligent, possessing abilities to control matter and energy that are far outside of our understanding. This, unfortunately, comes at the frustration of the few phaseloks who have visited our timeline. These creatures usually blink into existence around humans of power, appearing throughout history and immediately getting to work with some kind of presentation.

Unfortunately, nobody has ever quite understood what these creatures are trying to say. Their language is impossible to translate, built around some advanced convention that humanity has yet to adapt. Despite this, phaseloks will manifest various colorful shapes, moving them through the air in an attempt to evoke some kind of understanding from the human viewer. Phaselok presentations have been filmed and studied, but even the best scholars have yet to unravel their mysteries.

Without fail, the phaselok presenter will eventually get frustrated. The only real bit of understanding we have is that their demeanor and body language becomes impatient and exhausted, usually resulting in the creature throwing up their hands and blinking back to the timeline from which they came.

Some researchers have suggested that phaseloks and orbitals are related in some way, although this theory had never been proven.
